It was after Al Tai’f incident that prophet Muhammad encountered this miraculous event. When prophet Muhammad [peace be upon him] was heading back from Al Ta’if to Makkah, he camped at night in a small dessert in the valley of Nakhla (the journey back takes 3 to 4 days).
As a habit, He stood up to perform the night prayer (Qiyamul-Layl). No matter how bad he feels even physically. He was so tired. And his wounds was not healed yet! However, He did not gave up his Qiyam. Subhanallah! After all, He never forgets his relationship with Allah, even when he was in a trip, injured, in the cold, in the desert.
He faced his worries, his wounds & his tired soul towards his lord. And, indeed, his Lord, the Most Merciful, would never forget him nor forsake him.
Glad Tidings to those who have firm faith in Allah <3.
What happened after that?
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala tells us what happened in the Qur’an in Surat Al-Ahqaf: “And [mention, O Muhammad], when We directed to you a few of the jinn, listening to the Qur’an. And when they attended it, they said, “Listen quietly.” And when it was concluded, they went back to their people as warners.” [Al Ahqaf 29]
We would have never known about this event but except when Allah told us.
Allah caused a group of Jinn to pass by where prophet Muhammad was praying. When the Jinn was in the presence of the prophet they said “Quite, listen”.
This shows us a very important point; If the world of men refused to listen to you, the world of Jinn said “Quite, Listen”!
If the World of the people of ta’if mocked him, the world of Jinn will listen in respect.
“And when it was concluded, they went back to their people as warners.”
This may have took them 2 or 3 hours as we know of the prophet’s Qiyam (it’s not as fast as ours :’D), however, they stayed and listened tell the end. After that, they returned to their people as warners. Not that they only believed and became Muslims, but also they became Da’ees (Messengers and callers for the Dawah of Islam)!
The Jinn continued: “They said, “O our people, indeed we have heard a [recited] Book revealed after Moses confirming what was before it which guides to the truth and to a straight path.”
Notice that; the Jinn follow the religions of mankind. Those Jinn believed in Moses, thus they were Jewish. So when they listened to the Qur’an they knew it was from the same being that sent Toarah.
So they converted to Islam and went back to their people to warn them.
And here’s a message to the prophet that; even if mankind rejected you, the world that’s beyond mankind has accepted you. There’s a huge symbolism here, it’s not out of the blue.
Then they started warning their people saying this:
“O our people, respond to the Messenger of Allah and believe in him; Allah will forgive for you your sins and protect you from a painful punishment. But he who does not respond to the Caller of Allah will not cause failure [to Him] upon earth, and he will not have besides Him any protectors. Those are in manifest error.”
Their people converted to Islam and came back after a while to the prophet because they wanted to learn more about Islam from him.
Allahu Akbar! For Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
Turn to Allah before it’s too late. Ask him to give you relief and strong faith. Return to Allah in the state of welfare and in the state of calamity. Never give up your prayers. And watch for Allah’s messages, always.
